Rolled pebbles
Chateau Font Barrièle’s rolled pebbles come from an over 2 million years old rhodanian terrace. Several metres deep, they guarantee a deep rooting of the vines, allowing it to grow and produce grapes without irrigation. The perfect osmosis between the soil and the vines is the secret of Font Barrièle’s wines unique taste.
Our environment
The rhône
The Rhône is only a few kilometres away from the domain. Our terroir’s underground is made of clay in which our vines, solidly rooted in pebbles, drink in the summer, when the rains become sparse.
